This program has been carefully designed by combining the outstanding experience in education and entrepreneurship of IE Business School and the action of Panama in the global innovation scenario. It includes a two week acceleration program in the City of Panama, an social weekend for you to discover different areas of the country and a final global demo conference where these ten selected startups will prove the world how they are abut to disrupt the water industry in front of investors and top leading organizations.
H20 Challenge is just an outstanding opportunity for you to move forward with your business project, meet globally recognized innovators, serial entrepreneurs and investors and develop a powerful action plan to effectively face the water challenge.


H20 Challenge will not only bring together the top ten most disruptive startups in the water industry but also some of the world’s greatest leaders, influencers and mentors in this challenging sector.


This year, we will carefully select 10 startups that will have the opportunity to enjoy this unique business acceleration program as well as exclusive access to a network of top companies, public institutions, investors and other influencers. Besides all of this, thanks to the contribution of the Environment Ministry of Panama and CONAGUA, The City of Knowledge and IE Business School will award the three winning startups with a total amount of 30.000 Dollars that will be paid in kind once the acceleration program is over. This economic prize will be used by the startups to fund:

Accomodation expenses in the facilities of the City of Knowledge for a mínimum period of three months

Travel expenses

Private coworking space

Full maintenance costs

Costs considered for collaborations or external/consulting services.


The acceleration program will take place in the City of Panama in July, 2018. In order to create a diverse and incredibly enriching experience for all the participants, H20 Challenge will be hosted at the City of Knowledge, one of the world’s largest innovation ecosystems and the global reference for entrepreneurship and social impact in Latin America.
